The Department of History is offering a daylong museum excursion to Washington D.C., on Saturday, September 13, led by Distinguished Professor of History Dr. Anthony R. Santoro, Professor of History Dr. Mario D. Mazzarella, and other members of the CNU Faculty.

A charter bus departs from the Freeman Center at 6:45 a.m. and returns to the campus between 8:30 - 9:00 p.m. The trip is open to all CNU students, faculty, and staff, as well as other travelers. Visits may be made to such institutions as the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the National Gallery of Art, the Museum of the American Indian and, perhaps, one of the Smithsonian museums. The National Islamic Center may also be one of the sites that can be visited.

The cost of the trip is $37.50 payable in advance to the CNU Department of History. Space is limited and advance reservations are necessary. Lunch in the capital and dinner on the way home in Fredericksburg are at travelers own expense. Allow about $7.00 for lunch and $10.00 - $12.00 for dinner.

For further information contact Ms. Nina Bates in the Department of History office at (757) 594-7567 telephone or by email to nbates@cnu.edu.
